Acquisition by private inquiry
Chiseled is an original one-of-a-kind hand-carved three-dimensional wall sculpture by Stacey Carter Art.
Made from polystyrene, plaster, heavy acrylic, and ivory-colored resin mounted on wood, this piece has a carved, architectural presence. Its raised forms feel organic and sculptural, with a surface that resembles shaped stone, softened movement, and refined natural texture.
The elongated format makes Chiseled ideal for a fireplace wall, above a console, or any interior space that calls for a quiet but commanding focal point.
The work is framed, finished with a brown suede backing, and includes attached hardware for installation.

A Milestone Work
Stacey’s work, “Black Licorice,” was selected by jury committee for the Montclair Art Museum’s Juneteenth Exhibition — a milestone that reflects both the power of her artistry and the courage it takes to pursue a dream at any stage of life.
A Foundation In Art, Identity & Love
Carter’s artistic foundation was laid in her childhood home, where her mother, Delores Ellerbe — a gifted painter from Charleston, South Carolina — filled every room with dynamic, soulful work in the 1970s.
Through her mother’s example, Carter learned that art could be a language of identity, power, and love.
